Dave ARBEITMAN - Reel Seat Tackle

Dave has been saltwater fishing since the age of 4 1/2 years. Growing up he worked as a mate on both charter and partyboats in New Jersey and Key West.

From 1980-1981 he built custom fishing rods for The Mud Hole Tackle Shop in Toms River.

In 1982 he got together with Grant Toman and opened up Reel Seat Tackle Shop in Pt Pleasant, now located in Brielle, NJ.

Arbeitman and Gorman designed and made the first V shaped Giant Tuna Mackerel Spreader Bars in 1987. Next, in 1989, they began experimenting with trolling patterns, in an attempt to develop the “next generation Daisy Chain.” This work eventually resulted in the unique REEL SEAT SPREADER BARS, the first high speed Titanium Spreader Bars.
